Working with the Goddess
6 week series
Begins March 22, 2022
Working with the Goddess can be healing and insightful as well as light and playful. As we come to know her depths, we come to understand our own layers and depth.
This is a Writing & Meditation class that will be led by the Goddess energies.
When working with the Goddess, we wake up to the beauty of the world around us.
Each week we will meet a different Goddess
Each week you'll learn new tools and techniques to aid in your meditation practice.
There will be guided meditation as well as silent sittings.
Each week you will receive new writing prompts to go inward and help you gain access to your creative and intuitive self.
Ultimately, this is an experiential workshop. There will be a lecture piece but really the wisdom lies in the practice. You will meditate and you will write. There will be some fun exercises along the way.
You do not need to have any experience with writing or meditation. This is open to everyone and all levels.
This all starts up Tuesday March 22nd. Perfectly aligned with the spring equinox. (I love it when that happens!)
The program will run for 6 consecutive weeks.
530-730pm EST
Cost is a sliding scale of $200-$240 CAD + hst
This will be held live online through zoom.
It will be recorded and the program will be available until May 31st.
You will receive a companion package of some pre-recorded content to help you along the way.
The Companion Package Includes:
*6 vinyasa yoga classes
*1 yin yoga class
*1 yoga nidra recording
*2 meditations

Pilates Essentials
30 hr Training
Begins April 9th
This is a 30 hour live online program that will be spread out over two weekends.
What it is:
This is a great introduction into the Pilates method.
What you'll learn:
* The roots and history of Pilates
* The Pilates principles; matwork as well as movement principles. These are not so much the specific exercises themselves, as a discussion around how to approach the exercises and why we do them. I did my Pilates training years ago, before teaching yoga had even crossed my mind, and these principles inform the way I move and teach in any style of class - Pilates, yoga, weight training, etc.
* Key Pilates exercises. How to add variety, what to look out for and how to adjust the exercise to meet the students who are in front of you.
* How to add props to the practice. This will look like props that may appear in the studio, as well as how to bring in home accessories as props.
* Key Core muscles. **This is not an anatomy training! But we'll spend some time reviewing key core muscles and their function.
Who is this for:
* Yoga Teachers who are looking for a new edge to their teaching. This is great information to bring into your public classes. And if you are offering private sessions in any capacity this will up-level what you're able to offer. Especially to your clients who are struggling with low back pain or posture strain. Pilates is at the root of the majority of my private sessions where I'm working with a client in any sort of rehab type setting. Ex - they show up with a tight neck, sore shoulder, aching back. I'm going to do a mix of Pilates moves and yoga stretches.
* Massage therapists and physiotherapists who are looking for exercises outside of the classic 'physiotools' to offer to their clients. Pilates was initially designed as a rehab practice. I spent 6 years working in a physio clinic as their yoga therapist, and the majority of our programs revolved around the Pilates method.
* Movers! You love yoga, you love Pilates and your HIIT classes and you'd love to know how to intelligently and safely add some of these moves into your personal practice.
What you'll get
* 24 hours of live online in class training
* 6 hours of pre-recorded content
* 1 month access to my online Pilates studio which includes 1 weekly live class as well as a library of on-demand Pilates and movement classes.
Format:
This program will be held live online and will be recorded.
You will have access to the program for 4 months after the session date.
Cost:
Program is being offered on a sliding scale of $500-$600 CAD +hst.
*Payment plans available
**In addition to the sliding scale rates, this training has a limited number of spots available at discounted rates for low income (ODSP, OW) seniors, trans and queer folk, BIPOC, etc. Please email me @ [email protected] to inquire or to let me know if you have any access needs that I can accommodate.
It will be a small group, open to 16 students. So lots of time for introspection and questions to ensure you really 'get' what's being taught.
Dates:
April 9th & 10th
April 23rd & 24th
Each day will run from 9:30am-12:30pm & 2:30 - 5:30pm
Okay...ya ya ya ya!!!! I'm really excited about this. I started my Pilates journey almost 2o years ago and I can't wait to share all that I've learned with you. Honestly, the Pilates method, more than anything else, influences the way that I approach the physical body in the way that I teach.
So!!! You want in? You have questions? Reach out and we'll get the conversation going.
If you want to set up a time to chat over the phone that works too.

(This is not a comprehensive mat Pilates training, but if that's what you're looking for, I know where to direct you.)
